Torres backs underfire Rafa

FERNANDO TORRES has hit out at Rafa Benitez's critics.
Liverpool's top scorer insists the Kop boss should be respected for his achivements at Anfield.

Benitez came under fire this season after the Reds slipped off the pace in the title race and lost to Championship side Barnsley in the FA Cup.

But Torres, 23, said: "Benitez has earned respect and credibility throughout the Premier League.
"Since he came here, he has won the Champions League in 2005.

"The results haven't gone his way lately and some people have started criticising him. "But he's one of the most respected coaches in England.

"We can easily turn things around with a few good results. "The spirit in the team is good — all we need now is to find some stability and put some better results together."
